The objective of VOIP Courses is to provide a technical and practical overview of Voice over IP (VoIP). The VOIP Courses identifies the main elements of the technology and presents them in an accessible format. At the end of these VOIP Courses delegates will be conversant with VoIP technology and understand the role of VoIP in their or their customer’s company and marketplace. An understanding of the delegate’s company network would be an advantage or that of a client company. This is not mandatory as case studies can be provided.

The VOIP Courses draw students from all backgrounds, including marketing, sales, network developers, and planners. If you are involved in any facet of the industry, you’ll be affected by the migration toward VoIP. VOIP Courses will bring you up to speed and help you appreciate the major changes be seeing in the months and years to come. VOIP Courses covers the fundamentals necessary to understand VoIP. You’ll learn about gateways and their capabilities, how phone calls are made over VoIP networks, and how VoIP is used in private networks. You’ll become familiar with protocols that support VoIP calls and will see how IP works with the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). We’ll also examine some of the challenges VoIP faces in today’s networks so you’ll have a good understanding of its capabilities.

VOIP Courses are the solution to your ebusiness solution provider problems related to worldperks visa and Telecommunication Consultant. There are many types of these VOIP Courses, like online and offline both.

Video/DVD VoIP Courses: Based on their very popular instructor-led Course 301 Voice over IP, V8, V9 and V10 are a set of three video/DVD courses that explain Voice over IP from top to bottom and front to back. These are their newest titles, produced April 2004.

Comprehensive and up to date, these VoIP Courses are designed for those who need to get up to speed, understand what VoIP is all about, separate hype from reality, understand the buzzwords and jargon, sort out the protocols, standards, architectures and understand mainstream solutions.

V8: Understanding Voice over IP 1: Understanding Voice over IP 1 is the first in a set of three video VoIP Courses that explain Voice over IP (VoIP) from top to bottom and front to back - comprehensive and up to date, designed for those who need to get up to speed, understand what VoIP is all about, separate hype from reality, understand the buzzwords and jargon, sort out the protocols, standards, architectures and understand mainstream solutions.

In this course, you get started understanding VoIP by exploring all the different things someone could mean when they say “Voice over IP”. Covering everything from talking through your computer over the Internet, to VoIP IXCs, to VoIP on LANs and WANs, they’ll introduce all of the different ideas, concepts, hardware and software involved with VoIP. In the second chapter, you’ll take a closer look at the “pros and cons” of VoIP, understanding both the benefits and the potential hidden pitfalls associated with them. This title is available on videocassette and DVD.

This video provides you with a big-picture view of Voice over IP, understanding all of the different ways that it can be implemented, plus covering the thornier issues that you won’t see in sales brochures, and prepares you for a discussion of standards and voice quality in Understanding VoIP 2, and deployment on LANs and WANs in Understanding VoIP 3. Though there are no prerequisites, students will find an advantage in being familiar with the material in video courses V1 and V2 (Fundamentals of Telecommunications 1 and 2) before watching this course.

V9: Understanding Voice over IP 2: Understanding Voice over IP 2 is the second in a set of three video VoIP Courses that explain Voice over IP (VoIP) from top to bottom and front to back - comprehensive and up to date, designed for those who need to get up to speed, understand what VoIP is all about, separate hype from reality, understand the buzzwords and jargon, sort out the protocols, standards, architectures and understand mainstream solutions.

In this course, you bust the buzzwords and jargon, and put in place a solid understanding of VoIP standards, entities and terminology, including gatekeepers, gateways, call managers, H.323, SIP, Megaco and more. Then you turn to the essential question: voice quality. If a VoIP system doesn’t sound good, it won’t be a success. They cover how voice quality is measured, the factors affecting voice quality, understand codecs and voice compression, delay and jitter, and finish with a review of “best practices” for achieving voice quality. This title is available on videocassette and DVD.

This video provides you with an understanding of VoIP terminology, buzzwords, standards, system components, voice coding and compression, and issues and solutions for voice quality. This video fills in some of the gaps in the “big picture” course Understanding Voice over IP 1, and puts a structure in place for discussion of VoIP on LANs and WANs in Understanding VoIP 3.

V10: Understanding Voice over IP 3: Understanding Voice over IP 3 is the third in a set of three video VoIP Courses that explain Voice over IP (VoIP) from top to bottom and front to back - comprehensive and up to date, designed for those who need to get up to speed, understand what VoIP is all about, separate hype from reality, understand the buzzwords and jargon, sort out the protocols, standards, architectures and understand mainstream solutions.

In this course, they bring everything together with a practical understanding of deploying VoIP and where we are going with this technology. They begin with a practical overview of how VoIP is deployed on WANs, including private networks, IP VPNs, the Internet and native VoIP carriers, and cover the three leading methods of prioritization: ATM, 802.1P and DiffServ.

Next is VoIP on LANs in-building: benchmarking against traditional PBX and Centrex, they understand VoIP Centrex and PBX replacement, how this can be integrated with existing systems, plus deployment of integrated messaging. They finish with a discussion how this technology can improve both service and efficiency in call centers, and a view of how they will manage communication and messaging in the future. This title is available on videocassette and DVD.

These VoIP Courses feature high-quality animated computer-generated graphics and bullets in addition to the instructor’s dynamic, no-nonsense explanations and analysis of Voice over IP. These VoIP Courses are available on VHS and DVD. Extensive navigation menus on the DVD allow you to jump directly to topics, so you can watch one segment at a time - or watch start to finish like instructor-led training.
