goTalk steps into VoIP market

goTalk, a division of Europe’s largest wholesale voice carrier, WaveCrest, has stepped out into the VOIP market. The new ADSL service that they are offering will include unlimited data at aggressive pricing and national calls for some of the lowest rates around.

The company is trying to lure new customers by offering hardware bundles for amazing introductory prices. New subscribers will have their choice of two hardware bundles. The fist, DLinkDVG2001sATA – which is the most basic of the two packages and normally sales for $99 – will be offered free.

The more extensive package, DLinkDVA3340s – which will include a modem, wireless router, and phone adapter in one – normally sales for $299 but will be offered (to new subscribers only) for a half priced value of $149.

The lower costs should entice costumers who have been interested in trying VOIP but haven’t’ been willing to invest the money in the initial hardware. goTalk is confident their hardware packages and subscriptions will also ease the concerns of consumers who don’t consider themselves technical and who baulk at the complications involved in selecting and putting together VOIP service.

Once connected, subscribers will have access to some of the lowest rates being offered – local and national calls are only 8.5 cents untimed. There will also be a Happy Hour offered that will allow calls to land-lines for half price. It will run from 6 – 7 pm.

Existing VOIP customers can also switch over to these new rate plans.
