VOIP Is Being Bundled

VOIP is bundling up.
Bundling is the process of putting together multiple products into a single package. It is quickly becoming one of the hottest new ways to draw new providers into the VOIP market. The bundling will dramatically decrease the cost of initial investment, sometimes up to as much as thirty percent.
Nortel Networks if the latest company to jump on board the bundling bandwagon. Its IPT 1-2-3 program, which was first introduced just last June, is now being re-invented with extensions specifically targeting the new providers. It will have nine new packages designed to enhance the provider’s experience and ultimately draw in a larger subscription base for the VOIP market.
The bundles will make the profit margin higher for the provider bringing more competition to the market. The competition will continue to grow the VOIP subscription base.
The newly revised IPT 1-2-3 will include all the hardware, software, and phones that are needed in order to be capable of deploying a full featured VOIP system. It also makes use of Nortel’s partnership with Microsoft by including a kit that is compatible with Microsoft’s Live Communication Server.
VOIP is making its mark in the telephony industry, but has not made it to mainstream status. Nortel Networks is hoping that its new bundling process will draw companies – who have only been dabbling in VOIP so far – into the market completely.
