VOIP Coverage Could Be Expanding

One of the downfalls of VOIP has been consumer concern over network coverage. Many subscribers felt like there was just not enough of it for most individual use. This is changing and the coverage is expanding every day.
VOIP is being offered by many companies as an alternative to the traditional land line telephones. Larger cities tend to have the best coverage thus far, but as demand for VOIP continues to increase, so will the network coverage.
Vonage is the best known among all the VOIP companies on the market, but with its recent visits to court that is likely to change. Skype and VoiceGlo are two other companies with large market shares. The cost for these services tends to be less, or at least comparable to land line services.
Another push in the positive for VOIP services is the expansion of areas where free Wifi is available. Many cities are looking to increase the numbers of these zones. This will make the portable VOIP handsets more reliable (think of having more cells for the cell phone).
Setting up a VOIP system is not usually that hard. Most software is available over the internet. The problem for this internet telecommunications still falls to the networks. If a profit line can be made in the industry, then more companies will direct funds in the area of improving networks.
