BT helps businesses benefit from VoIP

BT has released a new guide - “Understanding VoIP for Business” - to help smaller companies understand how they can benefit from VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services.
The guide was produced after research showed that only 25 percent of small businesses in the UK are already using broadband telephony services. It promotes VoIP as a viable replacement for traditional lines.
The guide outlines not just the cost-savings that can be associated with VoIP, but also explains how it can help companies create a more flexible and mobile workforce.
It shows how a small financial outlay to set up the system can result in increased levels of productivity and efficiency.
The guide also explains how VoIP can also be central to a company’s unified communications strategy by bringing together technologies such as e-mail, instant messaging and conferencing together in one place.
“Understanding VoIP for Business” is available free from the BT Business Club (www.bt.com/understandingvoip)
