OneSuite launches hybrid VoIP/PSTN service

OneSuite, a US-based provider of prepaid, long-distance and international phone cards, has launched a new product - OS Hybrid - in the US market.

Users of OS Hybrid can switch calling methods between the traditional PSTN (public switched telephone network) and VoIP. They can also use fax and email and make and receive calls on a PC under one web-based account.

The flexible service provides the advantages of both VoIP and traditional phone cards.

If the Internet is unavailable, calls can be made through PSTN, while if card users are unable to access a provider’s network during major holidays, they have the option of using VoIP.

OS Hybrid also provides free PC-to-PC calls and low PC-to-Phone rates.

The service is provided on a pay-as-you-go basis. Users pay $10.00 to sign up an account for prepaid long distance service. Users can subscribe to OneSuite VoIP service, SuiteAdvantage, for US$2.95, or Fax-to-Email service, MessageOne, for US$1.00 per month.
