TIC Installs VoSKY Exchange 9140

Total Integrated Communications (TIC), a Birmingham-based cabling and network specialist, has installed a PBX-to-Skype Gateway from VoSKY Technologies.
The VoSKY Exchange 9140 will improve communications with remote workers and customers and provide lower Skype calling costs.
TIC’s employees in the UK and Spain will be able to make, receive and transfer Internet-based Skype calls over standard office phone systems.
Employees will dial into their UK-based PBX via VoSKY exchange from Spain for free over Skype and make UK domestic calls through their usual phone system.
VoSKY’s technology replaces TIC’s PC-to-PC based Skype system, providing increased flexibility. It also brings cost benefits as no additional headsets and peripheral equipment is required.
The VoSKY Exchange, which is the only hardware of its type to be fully Skype certified, allows mobile and remote workers to dial directly into the PBX and use any extension to call out from the company’s Exchange.
The VoSKY exchange simply plugs into existing office phone systems, and provides Skype trunking through to the company’s PBX.
It allows remote workers to make Skype calls over the VoSKY Exchange system using an access code, from any landline or mobile.
Incoming landline calls can be transferred to any phone number or Skype ID. Workers calling another TIC office need only dial a location code and extension, eliminating the need to dial their respective PBX numbers.
The new system is expected to pay for itself in a matter of months through cost savings compared with the previous system.
