Snom launches partner programme for VoIP
by Jan Harris
August 27, 2007
Snom Technology AG, a German manufacturer of VoIP telephones, has launched an Interoperability and Technology Partner Programme.
The programme will offer customers, and trade and installation partners simple, complete VoIP solutions.
The scheme, which is mainly internet based, will help partners identify suitable products to suit their needs, whether this is specific technology or an open system.
It will also deal with compatibility issues, helping to identify which IT solutions work together.
Snom’s website provides an overview of companies and products which are compatible with Snom phones and with each other.
The site also displays whether interoperability partners have completed certification procedures which are currently available on two different levels.
PBX suppliers Essence and Simicomm have already joined the programme on the first level, which supports basic telephony functions, such as initiating and terminating calls.
The next partner level includes functions such as transferring a call, call waiting, Music on Hold, LED status indicators, and integration of answering machines. Starface PBX and pbxnsip have joined the programme at the second level.
