INX Inc, a Cisco unified communications partner, has acquired Select, a fellow Cisco Gold Partner, for $8.5m. The acquisition is a continuation of the trend for consolidation among Cisco channel partners.
Other recent consolidation agreements between Cisco VoIP channel partners include Fusion Storm's acquisition of Technology Services and Integration, and Presidio's purchase of Solarcom.
Select, valued at $40m, is based in Massachusetts and brings to INX a range of brand name accounts in the Boston area, including Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, John Hancock, and TD Banknorth.
Based in Houston, INX Inc. delivers business ready networks to enterprise organisations. Its customers for enterprise-level Cisco-centric advanced technology solutions include large enterprise organisations such as corporations, public schools, federal, state and local governmental agencies. The company has grown rapidly during the last five years and has gained significant market share.
