Tesco launches VoIP service for consumers

Supermarket chain Tesco is launching a VoIP service targeted at consumers rather than businesses.
Users of the service will be able to pay for their Internet calls in the same way as they would for a traditional land line calls, with Tesco price-plans providing good-value or free calls.
Unlimited UK-wide calls will be available for £5 per month, and unlimited international calls for £8.50 a month. There are no restrictions on times when the calls can be made.
While Tesco is aiming to make VoIP an easy and cost-effective option for consumers, other VoIP services are available to consumers which provide free calls worldwide, or are available without the need for monthly payments.
Tesco’s service could provide a worry-free option though, for consumers uncertain of VoIP technology.
The all-in-one Tesco internet phone service is available both in-store and on online.
