VCOMM, a UK-based, Internet communications distributor, has secured two deals to enhance its services to the UK and Irish reseller channel.

Coms Plc’s VCOMM unit has been appointed as the UK distributor for Polycom’s SoundPoint business VoIP phones.

The phones will be distributed directly through VCOMM, and will also be sold as part of Coms’ business VoIP solution.

VCOMM has also entered into a partnership with Fonality, which is expanding its IP Telephony Channel Network into Europe.

VCOMM will resell and support Fonality’s newly launched trixbox Pro phone system.

Trixbox Pro provides small and medium-sized businesses with access to affordable, easy–to-use IP communications, which could help them compete with larger enterprises.

Trixbox Pro is a hybrid-hosted phone system which offers an affordable alternative to the traditional, expensive IP-PBX solutions currently available in Europe.
