3Com develops VoIP for SMEs

3Com has launched a range of IP telephony products designed to allow small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from enterprise-quality IP telephony.
The products will help SMEs unify communications and applications on an open architecture platform to facilitate business growth.
3Com’s VCX Connect solution is designed for companies with 30 to 250 phone users.
It comprises Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) software-based IP telephony call control and unified messaging facilities.
Unified messaging provides a single inbox which brings together voicemail, fax and email and provides find-me/follow-me capabilities.
3Com is also launching the Asterisk Appliance, an Open Source VoIP system designed for five to 30 phone users.
