Waterfront launches TV Telephony

Scottish VoIP company, Waterfront, has launched an innovative service called TV Telephony, which allows telephone calls to be made and received via a digital television.
The service also enables broadcasters, production companies, advertisers and viewers to interact.
Interactive features such as ‘ring me back’ can be incorporated into television shows, providing direct voice contact with viewers.
Waterfront is promoting the service as providing an alternative to television ‘phone ins’ which have been discredited by a number of recent scandals.
Waterfront believes the service will allow advertisers and broadcasters to rebuild trust with their viewers.
The TV Telephony service is based on technology from ComXo Limited, a leader in communications services and technologies based in Datchet, Berkshire.
