Belkin announces desktop Internet phone for Skype

Belkin announced its new Desktop Internet Phone for Skype at the CES 2008 event in Las Vegas.
The phone, which comes with a price tag of $99.99, can make and receive calls without a computer having to be turned on. It initiates automatic login to Skype and can be plugged directly into a wired or wireless router, or a live Ethernet port.
The phone features a speaker, speed dial, call hold/release, call pickup/park, mute, redial, hold, call-timer display. It also has a contact list which supports over 500 sets of Skype and SkypeOut contacts.
Belkin’s Desktop Internet Phone for Skype will launch in March 2008 in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. No details on UK pricing are yet available.
