Vyke Communications Plc has upgraded its Mobile VoIP service, through an agreement with Nokia.

Vyke users now have access to Nokia’s ‘Download’ store in order to download Vyke’s mobile VoIP software.

The store is located in the main menu of compatible Nokia mobile phones, and the service is initially available to customers in the UK, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The agreement provides a number of new features, with a focus on secure Vyke account creation which removes the need for users to access www.vyke.com to create their account.

When the download is started, it takes around 2 minutes to install the software, create the user’s Vyke account and top it up with $1 of free calling credit.
