Fring adds Facebook application

Users of Fring, a mobile internet service and community which brings VoIP calls and IM applications to a range of mobile phones, can now use Facebook directly from their cell phone.
The service, which is available via a new Settings menu option called fringAdd-ons, allows ‘Fringers’ to use the Facebook platform for tasks such as messaging, updating statuses and sharing media, remotely on their handset.
Since Fring opened its API to third party developers, only a matter of weeks ago, applications for Facebook, Orkut, Gmail and vTap have surfaced.
FringAdd-ons are available for the most up-to-date versions of Nokia Symbian 9, Sony Ericsson UIQ, and Windows Mobile.
