Vyke Announces Standalone VoIP Client

Vyke Communications Plc, the leading mobile VoIP service provider, has completed alpha testing on its stand alone Symbian VoIP client for Symbian phones.

A beta test group has now been established, with a view to making the service publicly available later in 2008.

The stand alone Mobile VoIP client allows Symbian mobile phone users to make VoIP calls from their handset, regardless of their mobile subscription or limitations imposed by their mobile operator.

Vyke recently released an open beta version of its FreeTxT product, which allows Vyke users with Symbian phones to send free SMS between each other or to other mobiles around the world for a flat rate of $0.06.

Stand alone mobile VoIP and FreeTxT will be merged into one product which is scheduled for release later this year under the Vyke-Air brand.
