Verizon enhances wholesale VoIP

Verizon Business, part of Verizon Communications, has enhanced its VoIP offering to wholesale customers with the addition of SIP Gateway Outbound Service.
The benefits of the service include the ability to initiate the service faster because it uses virtual trunking rather than physical trunking.
Other benefits include easier network configuration, additional calling options and increased flexibility when ordering. Extra security is added with the Remote Party ID mechanism.
Calls can originate from the traditional numbering format, and also from the URI and URL Internet formats.
SIP Gateway Outbound Service is designed to bring increased productivity, efficiency and convenience to Verizon’s wholesale clients.
Verizon’s wholesale products are sold by Verizon Partner Solutions and Verizon Business International Partner Solutions.
