Fring, a mobile internet service and community which allows users to keep in touch with social network contacts while on the move, has announced a bespoke version of its service for integration with moblikom Austria’s A1 over IP service.

As well as providing fring’s full mobile VoIP functions, the service will allow mobilkom Austria to provide customers with a mobile internet community.

This represents the first time that a network operator has integrated mobile VoIP and a mobile internet community into its services, marking a new level of co-operation between VoIP and traditional carriers.

Mobilkom’s A1 over IP allows customers to make VoIP calls over their PC, using their mobile phone number.
