Richard Huish College Keeps Tutors in Touch

Located in a very attractive town of Taunton in Somerset, sixth form educational institution Richard Huish College is regarded as the number four College in the whole of the country for their high standard of A-level passes.

When their ageing phone system needed replacing the college wanted a highly flexible system that could cope with the continuous movements of staff between the different areas of the extensive campus.

They eventually settled on provider ShoreTel and their UC and IP PBX systems which are capable of giving each staff member their own individual phone number and voicemail ID.

They can access the voicemail from any telephone and also via e-mail.

The system is flexible in that staff can be contacted wherever they are by other members of staff or with outside calls from parents.

This contact is not direct and goes through a central hub so as to cause no undue disturbance, while still allowing teaching staff to be readily available.
