Fax for VoIP!

The fax is in.
Because many professions, such as real estate, legal, and financial, still rely on hand written signatures and because the papers with those signatures have to be effectively communicated between companies, there has been a need to accommodate this paper trail.
Intelliverse, an Atlanta, Georgia based provider of hosted internet communications, has developed T.38 technology specific to those needs. They set out to design something that could entice the small and medium businesses into the VOIP market. The T.38 enhances fax operations over IP, which had not been reliable in the past. The new T.38 standard will be just as reliable as faxing over traditional TDM circuits.
By tricking the units into believing they are communicating with other T.38 systems, Intelliverse has found a way to use buffer management techniques before correcting any missing or delayed information packets – allowing for complete and error free faxes.
Small and medium businesses are usually the first to embrace new technology, but they have been hesitant to turn to VOIP because of the problems revolving around paper. With the modern alternatives to faxes being over complicated and clunky, Intelliverse feels they have the answer to bring the small and medium businesses into the technological age.
The T.38 technology will be immediately available with Intelliverse’s hosted VOIP PBX for SMB, Global Talking Planet Business solutions. The international version, Global Crossing Network, has also been recently approved.
